Senior Cloud Engineer

• Be a subject matter expert in implementing the various components of Microsoft 365 Contributing to the documentation of detailed architecture and design documents. • Implementing technical solutions per the approved design, including technologies such as Azure AD and Exchange Online hybrid, Intune desktop deployment and management, Microsoft Information Protection and Azure Sentinel. • Contributing to the documentation of change requests, knowledgebase articles, and other technical documentation. • Providing technical escalation, support and training to the customer’s IT resources. • Assisting with the drafting and execution of technical and end-user test plans. • Work within the Cloud Capability Program and projects to identify and implement the optimal cloud-based solutions in Microsoft Azure and M365. • Plan, design and develop cloud-based application infrastructure. • Deploy and service cloud initiatives as needed by best practices throughout the development lifecycle. • Orchestrate and automate cloud-based platforms throughout the organisation.
Job Requirements
- Experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience designing, documenting, and implementing cloud-based architecture & solutions for large, complex enterprise systems.
- Knowledge in Azure Fabric and Azure AI services.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in implementing and managing Microsoft 365, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Intune, Purview, Defender, Sentinel and supporting Azure connectivity, logging and associated services.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft desktop and server infrastructure stack.
- Knowledge and ideally experience delivering secure access service edge and zero trust architectures and solutions.
- Experience working effectively with a highly skilled technical team in an agile environment.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Azure, Cloud Adoption Framework, Enterprise Scale Landing Zones, and associated services, Identity, Sentinel, logging, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 and networking.
- Experience with Active Directory and Entra ID, ADFS, and AD Connect.
- Knowledge of Australian Government ISM and PSPF frameworks.
