Senior Engineering Excellence Manager

Deckers Brands

• Drive transformative change by enabling and supporting engineering initiatives that shape the future of Deckers Brands, including cloud migration and modernization efforts. • Set the standard for excellence by establishing and evolving engineering frameworks that empower teams to deliver with confidence, consistency, and innovation. • Turn data into action by defining and governing KPIs that unlock insights, fuel continuous improvement, and elevate delivery performance across the organization. • Inspire and mentor delivery managers, helping them grow their capabilities and lead with clarity, discipline, and purpose—especially in complex, high-impact projects. • Lead special projects that advance engineering excellence, championing automation and AI practices to keep Deckers Brands at the forefront of technology and operational success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Significant experience in technology delivery, transformation, or operational excellence roles
  • Proven track record supporting or leading large, complex initiatives (cloud migration, platform modernization, delivery framework adoption)
  • Experience coaching or enabling delivery managers, program leads, or cross-functional teams, especially in lower-maturity or high-ambiguity environments
  • Demonstrated success improving delivery predictability, execution discipline, and continuous improvement outcomes
  • Experience working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, and quality teams without owning direct technical delivery
  • Strong delivery and systems thinking, with the ability to identify structural issues across people, process, and technology
  • Deep understanding of modern delivery practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, continuous improvement, flow metrics)
  • Ability to establish and operationalize delivery and engineering KPIs and translate data into actionable insights
  • Effective coach and influencer, able to raise execution maturity without formal authority
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and bringing clarity, structure, and momentum
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, especially with senior technical and delivery leaders
