Job Description

Firmware Development Engineer

Swissbit AG

• You will play a leading role in firmware development for next-generation flash controllers and support the implementation of new features • You will specialize in a specific area of firmware related to controller hardware • You will work on concepts such as performance optimization, reliability, etc., and their implementation • You will collaborate closely with our test team to ensure comprehensive firmware verification and validation • You will also support the stabilization phase of firmware releases, including analysis of test results

Job Requirements

  • Degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field (BSc, MSc, or equivalent)
  • You are open-minded and enjoy working in a team
  • Professional experience in embedded software development is an advantage, but entry-level candidates are welcome
  • Excellent knowledge of the C programming language
  • Experience with microprocessors, embedded systems architecture, compilers, and development tools for embedded software
  • Linux kernel knowledge in the areas of block devices and file systems is a plus
  • Experience with specific host interfaces for storage devices (e.g., PCIe/NVMe) is an advantage
  • Good written and spoken English and German are required
