Our students vary in age and are carefully screened for English level, behavior, and motivation. We focus on teaching concrete skills that will help students in their learning endeavors. We are seeking hardworking homework and essay graders to conduct weekly gradings according to our rubric. Key Responsibilities - Essay Evaluation - Conduct weekly assessments of student essays (500–1,500 words) using our rubric, focusing on grammar precision, lexical appropriateness, and logical coherence. - Identify error patterns and provide specific corrections with examples. - Offer actionable suggestions to enhance clarity. - Homework Grading - Evaluate grammar exercises, vocabulary assignments, and short-form writing tasks. - Maintain consistent grading standards across diverse assignments. - Feedback Delivery - Write constructive, student-friendly comments in English.
Job Requirements
- Qualifications
- Required
- 2+ years of experience in academic editing, proofreading, or ESL instruction.
- Native English Speaker or advanced proficiency in English (IELTS 7.5+/TOEFL 100+ or equivalent).
- Expertise in grammar rule application and stylistic adjustments (e.g., formal vs. informal tone).
- Familiarity with ESL pedagogy and common learning challenges (e.g., article misuse, sentence fragmentation).
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
- Experience grading TOEFL/IELTS essays or working with Asian learners.
- Proficiency in Adobe and similar tools.

All work is paid hourly Project Description You will review and edit existing college-level Literacy Instruction course structure and materials designed to prepare educators to teach reading and writing.
