Education Course Editor - Literacy Focus (Contract)

Education Course Editor - Literacy Focus Course Editors play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our credit-recommended college courses. This project aims to enhance and update college-level courses to ensure they meet current academic standards and industry requirements. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid hourly Project Description You will review and edit existing college-level Literacy Instruction course structure and materials designed to prepare educators to teach reading and writing. This is expected to include tasks such as (but not limited to): - Evaluating and adjusting recommended updates to existing course structure - Reviewing course learning outcomes and competencies for accuracy and alignment with current literacy pedagogy and teacher preparation standards - Editing skill-oriented course sections and ensuring proper organization of topics such as reading instruction methods, writing pedagogy, literacy assessment strategies, and differentiated instruction - Reviewing and refining response assignment prompts and rubrics - Evaluating existing multiple choice questions for quality and accuracy Required Skills: - Master's degree or higher in Literacy Education, Reading Education, Language Arts Education, or a closely related field - Experience teaching literacy methods or teacher preparation courses in a college or university setting - Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level - Strong working knowledge of evidence-based literacy instructional methods, reading development theory, and K-12 literacy standards Additional Preferred Skills: - Strong time management skills to meet due dates - Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to revise submitted work as needed - Ability to collaborate with curriculum designers to create high-quality course deliverables - 2+ years of experience teaching courses in a college or university setting What We Offer: - Reliable Payments: You'll receive payments twice a month and automated invoicing for your work. - Remote Work: This is a fully online contracted work-from-home opportunity. - Flexibility: Basically, there are no requirements!
