We’re seeking a Senior QA Engineer to assist us with our ongoing software testing. You will be performing exploratory testing, automated testing, and bug reporting within a cross-functional team. This is a highly collaborative role and requires excellent verbal and written communication.  This might be the perfect role for you if you are excited by - Being highly collaborative within a cross-functional pod that includes product, engineering and design. - Working within a team that values feedback and gives it openly and regularly. - Being embedded in an engineering team where quality is a shared responsibility. - Having a valued and sought after opinion when it comes to project scope and design. - Digging deep to reproduce and identify root causes to share with engineers and product. - Developing a deep empathy for our users and advocating for their experience. - Contributing to a product that our customers genuinely love because it solves real, everyday problems for busy families and those with neurodivergent kids (the ADHD and Autism communities are among our biggest fans) Responsibilities - Collaborating with product and engineering during project scoping and refinement to identify risk and establish test plans. - Manual exploratory testing and validation of new projects within your pod. - Testing Android-based software running on custom hardware and firmware. - Working with engineers and QA to define, design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts across and between our tech stacks (mobile, android, web, backend). - Participating in bug triage and incident response to reproduce and advocate for timely resolution of important software defects. - Collaborating with QA team members across pods to improve testing efficiency and foster a sustainable workload amongst the team.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the quality assurance field
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication
  • Capable of analyzing business requirements from a customer’s perspective
  • Hands-on testing experience with mobile devices (Android + iOS)
  • Experience testing software on embedded Android devices
  • Familiarity with ADB, system logs, and Android internals
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify and foresee requirement gaps
  • Experienced with logging and tracking defects throughout the defect lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC, Agile testing, and software testing methodologies

  • For Colorado-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $150-$170K based on experience and for California-based candidates, the range being offered for this role is $150-$170K based on experience.
