• Assist in financial analysis, pricing and risk assessment to estimate outcomes • Develop and analyze complex financial and statistical reports related to quality, cost and effectiveness of healthcare services • Prepare budget and forecast and analyze financial results related to expectations • Apply knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance and business to calculate financial outcomes • Assist with developing probability tables based on analysis of statistical data and other pertinent information • Analyze and evaluate required premium rates • Assess cash reserves and liabilities enable payment of future benefits • Assist with determining the equitable basis for distributing money for insurance benefits • Participate in merger and acquisition analysis

Two examples: (i) Understanding and projecting the impact of new prescription drug classes on Medicare Advantage spending. (ii) Imagine Aledade is scaling a pilot across its full population, the chief actuary will be responsible for projecting the pilot results across Aledade’s patient population. Finally, the Medical Economics Unit could play a key role in explaining Aledade’s performance to investors.

In this role, you’ll be working with various actuarial models to set reserves, estimate accruals for risk adjustment and value-based arrangements, produce monthly forecasts, and set premiums for our lines of business.
