Job Description

Outbound Transportation Manager

Stryker

• Join a high-performing transportation and logistics team that is driving cost efficiency, operational excellence, and service reliability across Stryker’s U.S. distribution network • Drive policy development, optimization efforts, and best practice sharing across several divisions of Stryker for shipping activity to customers • Serve as the lead transportation representative from Stryker's Global Transportation and Trade (GTT) Center of Excellence • Partner closely with Transportation Operations, Indirect Procurement, Finance, Commercial Leadership, Customer Service, and Logistics • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects that drive costs out of outbound transportation activities • Lead regular transportation reviews with internal stakeholders across functions • Develop relationships and be a trusted thought partner for commercial, finance, and operations organizations • Monitor and analyze weekly and monthly cost reports, identifying variances, risks, and cost reduction opportunities • Develop and own clear routing instruction for carrier, mode, and service selection and drive routing compliance • Serve as escalation point for transportation issues and lead root cause analysis

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, business, operations, or related field
  • 8 years of experience in transportation in a high-volume manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with cost drivers in parcel, LTL, and truckload segments of the transportation industry
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost, utilization, and performance data
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cost reduction through governance, optimization, and operational discipline
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage complex vendor relationships
