IoT Engineer
Datakrew
• Analyzing & understanding business/customer requirements for industrial IoT solutions. • Researching and shortlisting different IoT sensors for a target IoT solution and constraints. • Studying data sheets of different IoT sensors from different vendors, and comparing them based on technology, certification, logistics, support and cost. • Interfacing different industrial IoT sensors with Datakrew’s IoT Platform (MADS). • Embedded C/Arduino/Micropython software/firmware development. • Sensor integration and firmware testing, debugging, documentation and troubleshooting. • Electronic product design and certification of the end-product. • Work independently or in a group and take up project responsibilities. • Effectively communicate issues and request resolution from the Head of Solutions.
Job Requirements
- Experience in Embedded Systems firmware/software development.
- Good knowledge of IoT sensors, electronic product design, hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Experience with IoT standards and communication protocols like MQTT, HTTPS, CoAP etc.
- Familiarity and experience with industrial monitoring and control systems like SCADA, PLC, DCS, etc.
- Familiarity and experience with industrial protocols such as Modbus, CANbus, Profibus, OPC UA, etc.
- Experience with communications channels such as WiFi, Zigbee, BLE, NB-IoT, Sigfox, LoRaWAN, etc.
- Familiar with wiring & interfacing protocols such as RS232, RS485, Ethernet, etc.
- Experience in development boards e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Edison, NodeMCU etc.
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills in English.
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Experience with interfacing various on-chip and off-chip peripherals like LCD displays, keypads, UART, SPI, I2C, ADC, timers, interrupts, GPIO etc. (Good to have, but not mandatory.)
- Track record of providing excellent customer service.
