Adjunct Faculty – Online Mechanical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology
ECPI University
• Teach undergraduate Mechanical or Civil Engineering Technology courses • Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned with industry practices • Support student learning in a fast-paced, 5-week course format • Provide guidance, mentorship, and academic support to students • Troubleshoot basic technical/software issues for students as needed • Participate in scheduled live sessions and office hours (online faculty)
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field OR Master’s degree with 18+ graduate semester hours in the discipline
- Ph.D. preferred
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant industry experience required (7+ years preferred)
- Industry experience must be within the past 5 years
- Teaching, training, or mentoring experience is a plus
- Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other 3D design software
- Mechanical Engineering Technology (Preferred): Machine Tool Technology, CNC G-Code programming, CAD/CAM software
- Civil Engineering Technology (Required): Geomatics & Surveying, Fluid Science
- Background in control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical systems
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Windows-based computer and webcam (must meet ECPI requirements)

• Analyze, improve, and define subsystem architectures that directly influence system performance, throughput, and reliability for customers at the forefront of semiconductor equipment manufacturing • Architect mechanical, thermal, fluid, and structural solutions that drive system performance and reliability • Develop detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for weldments, sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies • Lead requirements decomposition and ensure bi-directional traceability • Perform structural, thermal, dynamic, and vacuum-related analyses using advanced FEA tools • Validate system reliability through load-path evaluation, stress analysis, fatigue modeling, and environmental considerations • Represent engineering in customer engagements and roadmap discussions.
