Job Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing a team of 20+
  • 4+ years of experience managing 10+ clients simultaneously.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP (or foreign equivalent) and financial statement presentation
  • Detail-oriented and able to effectively complete tasks.
  • Extensive experience working in a large accounting role, working as a manager/ supervisor within a finance/accounting department.
  • Proven track record of experience in supervising, leading, and coaching a team.
  • Excellent MS-office or Google Suite experience
  • Advanced English

Role Description As the Director of Accounting, you will lead our remote trust and financial accounting team and manage a portfolio of property management clients nationwide. Your work will ensure trust and corporate accounting standards are met, financial data is accurate, and our clients feel confident in their reporting and workflows. You’ll play a pivotal role in client onboarding, accounting system integrations, and internal process improvement. Responsibilities - Mentor and manage a remote trust and financial accounting team, overseeing daily operations and team performance. - Lead new client onboarding and implement trust and corporate accounting workflows. - Oversee all trust and financial accounting activities, including reconciliations, owner statements, expense management, deposits, and refunds. - Ensure integrity and compliance across multi-entity financial processes. - Map, integrate, and reconcile data between STR property management platforms (Hostfully, Guesty, Track, Streamline, etc.) and QuickBooks Online. - Support ongoing reconciliations, financial reports, budgeting, forecasting, and year-end processes. - Identify and resolve discrepancies, and drive process improvements. - Stay current with STR accounting standards, software tools, and industry best practices. Qualifications - 5+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience with property management companies (required). - Proven experience leading or supervising accounting staff—remote team experience is a plus. - Advanced understanding of trust and financial accounting regulations for short-term rental management (required). - Power user of STR trust accounting software (Clearing, VRPlatform, Track, Guesty, Streamline) (required). - QuickBooks Experience is required (QuickBooks Online experience strongly preferred). - Experience with STR property management software (Hostfully, Guesty, Track, Streamline, etc.) is a plus. - Exceptional organizational, communication, and analytical skills. - Experience working with global virtual assistants is preferred.
