Construction Estimator

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC

BBCH Support Services, LLC is looking for a Construction Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team. All candidates must be organized, self-motivated, and have demonstrated skills. This position will be responsible for oversight and execution of the estimating process for project bids; and following established standard procedures, methods, processes, and software requirements for estimating. This is a REMOTE position. Responsibilities: - Develop pricing model per RFP requirements. - Develop general and special conditions costs. - Identify risk issues, their order of magnitude, and propose solutions to minimize them. - Review constructability issues with key operational staff. - Assist with review of subcontractor proposals to ensure scope coverage; and identify scope gaps. - Maintain and communicate data on construction and material cost trends. - Ensure pricing model data accuracy. - Work collaboratively with other preconstruction team members. - Ensure effective transfer of awarded projects to field operation staff. - Effectively communicate the price proposal development process to senior management. - Create/manage multiple estimates simultaneously. - Professionally communicate in highly stressed environments. Qualifications: - Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. - 7-10 years (or more) of estimating experience in various market sectors, including federal government, commercial, and medical. - Demonstrated experience working independently on projects from $2M to $30M. - Experience with design-build and design-bid-build RFPs. - Ability to develop competitive price proposals on multiple projects simultaneously (4 to 6 proposals at varying stages of development). - Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal. - Proficiency with computer software including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.). - ProEst or similar experience desirable. - US Citizen or applicable for work in the US. - Ability to climb up and down stairs/ladders. - Unrestricted driver’s license. - Ability to pass background checks for security and base access. - Ability to pass drug tests.
