Senior Workday Engineer – Techno-Functional Lead

MoonPay

• Own day-to-day Workday HCM operations, including business processes, reporting, and issue resolution across the employee lifecycle • Design, build, and maintain Workday integrations with internal and external systems (e.g. Finance, Payroll, IT tools) • Configure and optimise Workday modules to support evolving business needs while maintaining system integrity • Identify inefficiencies and drive automation and system improvements to reduce manual processes • Partner with HR, Finance, Payroll, Talent, IT, and Engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions • Support Workday bi-annual releases, including testing, documentation, and deployment of new features and functionality.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience across configuration and integrations
  • Experience across multiple Workday modules; Core HCM, Reporting, Advanced Compensation, Talent & Performance, Time Tracking, and Learning.
  • Strong experience with Workday integrations (e.g. APIs, EIBs, Workday Studio or similar tools)
  • Comfortable owning both system operations and technical improvements end-to-end
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system or data issues independently
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business needs into effective system solutions

Job Overview: The DaaS Document Template Developer builds and maintains dynamic document templates for policies, certificates, schedules, and other customer communications. It involves mapping XML/JSON payloads from PAS, Billing, and Claims systems to DaaS variables, and collaborating with integration, rules, and QA teams to ensure accurate, high‑quality outputs. Job Roles & Responsibilities: - Template configuration and development - Configure and develop DaaS document templates (policies, certificates, schedules, benefit summaries, letters, notices, etc.) based on approved business and compliance specifications. - Implement dynamic data tags, conditions, loops, and formatting rules to drive correct rendering of content for different products, states, plans, and scenarios. - Configure reusable components (headers, footers, paragraphs, disclosures) to maximize standardization and reduce maintenance effort. - Integration and data mapping - Understand the XML / JSON payloads from PAS, Billing, Claims and other upstream systems and map these to DaaS variables and sections. - Collaborate with integration / PAS teams to align events, triggers, and batch jobs for document generation, email, print, and archival. - Support PRASE / rules layer teams (where applicable) to ensure configuration and templates work end‑to‑end (event → data → template → output). - Provide estimation for template/config changes and support planning for sprints / releases. - Quality, testing and support - Build unit-level test data and perform self‑testing of templates in lower environments (DEV/QA). - Work with QA teams to define test scenarios and resolve defects related to content, data mapping, formatting and performance. - Participate in UAT support, defect triage and production-verification during releases. - Provide L3 support for DaaS issues in production, including impact analysis and fixes. - Collaboration and process - Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects and Developers in an Agile environment. - Adhere to coding/configuration standards, version control practices, and deployment processes defined for DaaS and the program. - Contribute to reusable patterns, utilities, and best practices for document template development across customers.
