DeweyLearn, Inc.
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs in Python • Design and ship AI features using LLMs and modern ML techniques • Implement retrieval workflows (RAG, embeddings, vector search) • Take AI systems from prototype to production and iterate based on real usage • Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to make good technical trade-offs • Help keep our systems clean, reliable, and easy to extend
Job Requirements
- Proven track record as a Python developer, with at least 3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience working with ML/AI systems in a production environment
- Native/fluent proficiency in English
- Good command of the Python language
- Production API development experience
- Understanding of modern web frameworks
- Good understanding of "engineering basics" (version control, CI/CD, environments, debugging)
- Experience implementing and evaluating ML/AI solutions
- Experience building AI features using LLMs
- Familiarity with retrieval workflows (RAG) and embedding-based search
- Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
- Experience with Natural Language Processing is a plus
- Familiarity with at least one front-end framework is a plus

This may include identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, optimizing compute and storage, and provide guidance on poorly performing queries. • Ensuring data security and integrity: The DBE must ensure that the organization's data is secure and that access to the database system is properly controlled.
