All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment regardless of gender, race, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical disability, religion, or length of time spent unemployed. General Overview: As an Senior In-Services Specialist, you will own the full lifecycle of professional development delivery for MakeMusic and Alfred Music school district clients and prospects. Working closely with our Sales, Customer Success, and Education teams, you will serve as the primary point of intake for in-service requests, manage a network of skilled presenters, and coordinate all logistics to ensure exceptional, high-impact professional development experiences for educators across the country. This role is central to how our brands show up in classrooms and district professional development days. You will be the connective tissue between what gets sold and what gets delivered — ensuring every in-service reflects the quality and educational value that MakeMusic and Alfred Music stand for. This role sits on our Education team and reports directly to the Director, Sales. Core Functions: - Serve as the primary point of intake for all in-service requests sourced by Sales, Customer Success, and inbound inquiries from school districts — triaging, prioritizing, and scheduling sessions in a timely and organized manner. - Build, maintain, and manage a network of qualified in-service presenters and clinicians who deliver sessions on behalf of MakeMusic and Alfred Music, including sourcing new presenters as the program grows. - Coordinate all logistics for scheduled in-services, including presenter assignments, materials preparation, scheduling communications, travel coordination, and post-event follow-up. - Develop and maintain a scalable process and tracking system for managing the full in-service lifecycle from initial request through delivery and outcome reporting. - Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to align in-service scheduling and topics with account goals, renewal timelines, and expansion opportunities. - Track and report on program metrics — sessions delivered, districts served, presenter performance, and participant feedback — to support continuous improvement and leadership visibility. - Establish and uphold quality standards for in-service delivery, gathering feedback from participants and presenters to continuously improve program effectiveness. - Respond to inbound in-service requests directly from school districts, providing a professional and responsive point of contact for district administrators and educators. - Maintain accurate records of all in-service activities, requests, and outcomes in the company’s CRM system (HubSpot or equivalent). - Collaborate with the Education team on content, materials, and resources that support best-in-class in-service delivery across Music Brands. - Identify opportunities to scale the program, including developing standardized presenter training, playbooks, and delivery frameworks that reduce variability and raise the quality floor. - Stay up to date with music education trends, school funding opportunities, and educational policies that impact music programs. - Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in program coordination, event management, professional development operations, or a similar role managing multiple concurrent workstreams. - Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with external presenters, vendors, or contractors — including sourcing, vetting, and performance management. - Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage high request volume without dropping the ball. - Proficiency in CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent) and project tracking or scheduling tools. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and responsive approach to internal and external stakeholders. - Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, and Education teams to prioritize and align scheduling with business needs. - Background or genuine interest in music education, K-12 education, or edtech preferred. Desired Qualifications: - Experience in K-12 professional development, school district partnerships, or educational program delivery. - Familiarity with music education curriculum, Alfred Music products, MakeMusic software, or related pedagogy. - Self-starter who thrives in a process-building environment and is comfortable operating in ambiguity. - Ability to quickly build rapport with educators, district administrators, and internal sales and success teams. - Demonstrated ability to take ownership and accountability and deliver on goals independently. - Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear program documentation, reports, and stakeholder updates. - Understanding of basic data tools for tracking and reporting on program performance. - Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Director of Business Development - Government Contracts
AlphaHireThe Operating System for Automated Hiring
Role Description The housing crisis isn't waiting, and neither is our client. This is a company that has built something genuinely different — precision-engineered, ICC-ES certified modular homes designed to deploy fast, hold up in extreme conditions, and scale to meet some of the most urgent housing challenges in the country: disaster relief, workforce housing, and residential ADU development. The product is real, the certifications are in hand, and the market demand is undeniable. What's missing is the person who can take it to the next level — someone who can open government doors, build the relationships that turn into contracts, and lay the revenue foundation for a company on the edge of something significant. If you've spent your career selling to government agencies and you're ready to stop being a cog in a large machine and become the engine of something new, this is that role. - Build our client's government sales function from scratch — no playbook, no hand-holding, no ceiling - Identify, pursue, and close government contracts at the federal, state, and municipal level with a focus on housing, emergency response, and workforce infrastructure - Cultivate long-term agency relationships that produce repeat procurement opportunities, not one-off transactions - Map the funding landscape — FEMA, HUD, CDBG, state emergency management, and municipal housing authorities — and build a prioritized pipeline accordingly - Partner with leadership to shape go-to-market strategy, refine positioning for government buyers, and inform product roadmap based on what agencies are actually asking for - Represent the company in procurement conversations, RFP processes, and agency briefings - Build early operational structure around the revenue function: tracking, reporting, and process as the team scales - Contribute to fundraising narrative and investor conversations as a key growth voice in the organization Qualifications - A proven track record of closing government contracts — at the state, federal, or municipal level — with specific experience you can speak to in detail (agencies, procurement vehicles, deal sizes) - Deep familiarity with how government procurement actually works: GSA schedules, RFPs, sole-source mechanisms, and the relationship work that happens long before a bid is submitted - Existing relationships with housing, emergency management, or infrastructure agencies that give you a running start - Experience in modular construction, manufactured housing, disaster relief, or adjacent sectors is a meaningful differentiator - A startup orientation — you build your own pipeline, write your own playbook, and don't wait to be pointed in a direction - The ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level: you can map a 12-month agency engagement strategy in the morning and follow up on a procurement contact in the afternoon - Comfort working remotely with a lean team and navigating the ambiguity that comes with being an early hire at a fast-moving company - Remote flexibility with preference for California-based candidates Requirements - Equity / profit share component expected as part of the package - Ground-floor opportunity at a company entering a fundraising phase with a near-term path toward significant scale - Direct access to executive leadership and a voice in company direction from day one
