Software Engineer, Ads Identity, Signals & Audiences
Netflix
• Develop client-side Software Development Kits (SDKs) to enable the collection of consented Advertiser user engagements occurring on their properties. • Develop state of the art JavaScript capabilities that capture key interactions such as Page Views, Product Discovery, and down funnel events such as Add to Cart, Checkout and Purchase while honoring user consent choices and regional privacy regulations. • Collaborate with a team of talented professionals who are deeply passionate about ads technology and privacy, fostering a culture that values creativity, diversity, and continuous learning.
Job Requirements
- Proven track record in developing, deploying, and maintaining advertising pixels, SDKs, or tag management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), including asynchronous patterns, module bundling, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with Consent Management Platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) and their APIs.
- Demonstrated experience integrating with leading tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager (GTM), Tealium iQ, Adobe Launch, or Segment.
- Ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot custom tags, triggers, and data layers, ensuring robust and accurate data collection across complex web environments.
- Deep understanding of browser environments (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox), their APIs, and common limitations for client-side scripts.
- Strong grasp of JavaScript security threats and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their technical implications on web event collection pixels.
- Proficiency with browser developer tools, debugging, and automated testing for web scripts.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the ad tech and advertising landscape, including programmatic advertising and digital marketing trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
