Crop Insurance Underwriting Assistant

Endurance

• Support underwriters by assisting with the review and processing of applications, production reports, and acreage reports. • Organize and maintain records by scanning, uploading, and accurately identifying documentation in processing systems. • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, assisting with requests, and ensuring a positive and professional experience. • Communicate with agents to clarify or correct any discrepancies in provided information. • Review existing coverage amounts to determine appropriate benefit levels. • Verify and ensure policy forms comply with Risk Management Agency (RMA) guidelines. • Perform accurate and timely data entry tasks as needed. • Research and resolve underwriting-related inquiries. • Analyze applications and documentation to identify areas requiring additional research. • Participate in other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. • Receive ongoing feedback and coaching to enhance research skills, timeliness, and professional attitude, while building adaptability and initiative to manage new tasks, changes, and diverse teams or systems.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required
  • 0–3 years of related experience preferred
  • Experience in crop insurance is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Basic knowledge of administrative and office tasks
  • Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

About the role The Underwriting Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the underwriting process by delivering high-quality, efficient service to both internal and external clients. Overview: This position is responsible for submitting loan modification workups for the entire waterfall of investor workout options.
