Environmental Health Solutions Analyst – Business Analyst

• Immerse yourself in client workflows to understand how public health staff actually do their work, with particular depth in environmental health programs • Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities that clients may not have articulated • Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into coherent solution recommendations • Translate complex public health processes into clear user stories and acceptance criteria • Lead discovery sessions and workshops with health department staff • Serve as the voice of the client within our technical teams • Develop process flows, documentation, and visual aids that communicate the "why" behind solutions • Challenge assumptions and push back when proposed solutions don't fit client realities
Job Requirements
- 2+ years working in governmental public health (local, state, federal, or tribal)
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex systems and workflows
- Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience translating between technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated with strong initiative
- Adaptability in dynamic environments
- Comfort working with AI tools and large language models
- Direct experience in environmental health programs at a local health department (e.g., inspections, permitting, compliance, complaint response)
- Familiarity with user story development and acceptance criteria writing
- Experience with discovery techniques (journey mapping, interviews, observation)

Position Summary The RCM Manager is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the revenue cycle across our clinical specialties. Your mission is to ensure accurate charge capture, compliant billing, timely collections, and optimized reimbursement to support the scalability of our mission. This role provides hands-on leadership for billing, coding, and accounts receivable (A/R) functions while partnering closely with clinical, operational, and financial leaders to drive organizational performance. Core Responsibilities Revenue Cycle Oversight - Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including charge capture, coding, billing, claims submission, payment posting, denials management, and collections. - Perform accurate charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting to ensure timely revenue capture. - Ensure timely and accurate billing for professional and technical services across all supported specialties. - Monitor and improve key revenue cycle metrics, including days in A/R, denial rates, clean claim rates, and net collection percentage. Leadership & Team Management - Lead, coach, and develop staff, including setting performance expectations and conducting regular reviews. - Establish workflows, standard operating procedures, and internal controls to ensure consistency and accountability. - Serve as the primary escalation point for complex billing, coding, and payer-related issues. Compliance & Coding Integrity - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including CMS guidelines and specialty-specific billing rules. - Partner with coding resources to ensure appropriate use of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers across all specialties. - Coordinate internal and external audits and implement corrective action plans as needed.
