In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: - Understand the investing needs of our customers, empowering both new and sophisticated investors with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions. - Partner closely with engineering, data science and product management to find refined but practical solutions to design challenges. - Create multiple concepts and prototypes, recognizing when meticulous attention to detail is needed and when low-fidelity sketches are adequate for visualizing ideas. - Listen to users to develop the right product strategy and find solutions that delight our customers. - Leverage data to inform your design solutions. - Understand the strategic direction and vision for your working areas and ensure all UX efforts are aligned with that direction. - Raise the craft quality bar at Wealthsimple not just through your own work, but through the mentoring and development of Designers in your domain. - Become a subject matter expert in Stock & Option Trading. - Stay on top of industry trends and emerging technologies to integrate innovative solutions into our product design. Qualifications - A deep interest or experience with Trading and how we might build simpler, more accessible services for everyone. - Is an expert practitioner in the craft of product design, capable of delivering thoughtful, polished experiences, including motion and interaction design. - Demonstrated experience designing and shipping consumer-facing products. - Proven ability to turn complex problems into simple experiences. - Strong understanding of how design, product and engineering can work together to ship high-quality experiences quickly and at scale. - Can effectively communicate ideas and project direction to internal teams and stakeholders. - Experience generating user insight by shaping and leading research studies. - Ability to work independently, biasing towards action to drive projects forward. • Create leverage and impact far and above what you'd see in a typical EPD product team structure. • Get to work on all parts of a massive product surface area - spanning many user types, JTBDs, usability challenges, etc. • Help reinvent the design model for modern enterprise software—you don’t have to build wireframes, user journeys, personas, etc. • Cover all parts of the design process with a focus on design craft. • Help build our design system from (almost) the ground up.

• Own the design vision and deliver high-craft solutions • Lead design across clinical review infrastructure, provider feedback systems, and coding accuracy tools • Translate dense regulatory requirements and clinical standards into intuitive, human-centered experiences that make complex requirements feel manageable • Design for multiple audiences: internal operations teams, providers receiving feedback, and payers evaluating our network • Define the experience vision for supportive education and improvement flows that help providers elevate their practice • Establish and maintain a high bar for visual and interaction design that makes systems feel approachable and helpful • Build systems, partner strategically, and mentor • Develop reusable patterns for complex workflows and contribute to our design system (Helix) • Work deeply with product, engineering, clinical operations, and standards teams • Connect the dots across all of provider experience—designing solutions that span multiple touchpoints when needed • Collaborate with provider experience designers to ensure feedback systems feel genuinely supportive and educational • Mentor other designers and model effective cross-functional partnership

• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes within Figma • Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, pixel-perfect designs • Communicate design ideas written and verbally to engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders • Ability to manage stakeholders and communicate across ambiguous projects • Assist in mentoring design talent, influence design culture, and create knowledge sharing structures across the organization • Leverage AI tools like Cursor, v0.dev, Claude, Figma Make, and ChatGPT, to accelerate product prototyping, align direction, and faster decision making across teams
