Position Overview: Position Summary: The Diagnostician and Special Programs Case Manager supports the evaluation, identification, and compliance processes for students receiving Special Education services. This role assists in conducting diagnostic assessments, managing case compliance requirements, and ensuring alignment between evaluation results, ARD/IEP documentation, and instructional implementation. This role operates full time to support evaluation timelines, case management, ARD facilitation, and compliance monitoring for special programs within the district’s virtual learning environment. Essential Responsibilities ● Conduct diagnostic assessments to determine student eligibility for Special Education services in accordance with federal and state guidelines. ● Review referral documentation, student data, and educational records to support the evaluation process. ● Prepare and present evaluation reports during ARD meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to determine eligibility and service needs. ● Serve as a case manager for assigned Special Education students to ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). ● Coordinate and participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings within required legal timelines. ● Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately within the Special Education data management system. ● Monitor timelines for evaluations, annual ARDs, re-evaluations, and compliance indicators. ● Collaborate with campus administrators, teachers, and related service providers to ensure alignment between evaluation results, instructional supports, and IEP implementation. ● Support transfer ARD processes for newly enrolled students receiving special education services. ● Provide consultation and guidance to instructional staff regarding student accommodations, modifications, and support strategies. ● Ensure related services (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy, counseling) are coordinated and implemented as prescribed in the student’s IEP. ● Maintain confidentiality and compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and state regulations. ● Assist with program monitoring, data reporting, and documentation during compliance reviews or audits as assigned. Qualifications Required ● Master’s Degree in Educational Diagnostician, School Psychology, or related field ● Valid Texas Educational Diagnostician certification ● Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations for K–12 students ● Strong knowledge of IDEA, Special Education law, ARD processes, and compliance requirements ● Experience with IEP documentation and case management systems Preferred ● Previous experience in a virtual or online education environment ● Experience with Texas reporting systems and Special Education data platforms ● Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency Skills and Abilities ● Strong knowledge of Special Education evaluation procedures and compliance requirements ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills ● Ability to manage multiple evaluations and case files simultaneously ● Strong organizational and documentation skills ● Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a virtual environment ● High level of discretion, confidentiality, and ethical standards Work Conditions ● Full-time position based on student evaluation and case management needs ● Work is performed remotely in a virtual office environment ● Flexible scheduling to support ARD meetings, evaluation timelines, and compliance requirements ● Occasional extended hours may occur during peak evaluation or reporting periods Notice Employment with Innovative Network of Knowledge will be on an at-will basis.
