Role Description The Data Warehouse Senior Consultant is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and supporting the implementation and operation of the organization’s enterprise Data Warehouse built on Microsoft Fabric. The platform leverages Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI for data integration, modeling, and visualization. This role ensures effective collaboration with external implementation vendors, validates solution design, and builds internal data capabilities through knowledge transfer during the project phase. After implementation, the role will manage ongoing operations, governance, and performance of the Data Warehouse. Key Responsibilities - Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities with the external vendor implementing the Data Warehouse solution. - Participate in designing data architecture, models, and integration processes using Microsoft Fabric components. - Oversee ETL/ELT processes and data ingestion pipelines, ensuring data consistency and quality. - Ensure proper integration between source systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, Finance, HR, Contact Center systems) and the Data Warehouse. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting requirements. - Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are followed. - Document data mappings, lineage, and architecture diagrams. - Manage and optimize performance, monitoring, and capacity planning post go-live. - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to empower internal data and analytics teams. - Act as the organization’s subject matter expert for Data Warehousing and Microsoft Fabric platform operations. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, or Software Engineering. - 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL, or Business Intelligence projects. - Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric tools (Data Factory, Synapse, Power BI). - Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Data Engineer Associate or Fabric Analytics Engineer. - Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and integration principles. - Proven experience working with external vendors and managing data implementation projects. - Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. - Fluent in Arabic and English.
