​​Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: Offshore Experienced Estimator Compensation range: $1,800 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: Our client is an Australian residential construction company specialising in high-end custom homes across Queensland. Their focus is on delivering homes that are considered, well detailed, and built to a high standard — where design, buildability, and execution all matter. They work closely with clients and design team to bring bespoke homes to life, with a strong emphasis on quality documentation and a smooth transition from design through to construction.This is not a high-volume drafting environment. Their projects are individually designed, requiring attention to detail, problem-solving, and a solid understanding of how homes are actually built. You will be working alongside a team that values clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement, and is actively building better systems and processes across the business. Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales & Production Estimator to support a growing residential construction business. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates across both preliminary (sales) and detailed (production) stages, working closely with an onshore team to deliver high-quality, buildable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian residential construction, the ability to work across multiple software platforms, and a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:  Sales Estimating (Preliminary) - Prepare preliminary estimates based on concept and design development drawings - Provide cost feedback to support design decisions - Identify cost risks early (site conditions, structural complexity etc.) - Assist with feasibility pricing for new projects and product development - Support alignment between design intent and budget Production Estimating - Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) - Complete take-offs from working drawings - Apply correct rates, inclusions, and specifications - Ensure estimates align with construction standards - Assist with tender preparation and contract pricing Cost Control & Accuracy - Maintain consistency across all estimates - Review and validate quantities and rates - Identify discrepancies in drawings and documentation - Ensure estimates reflect realistic construction costs Systems & Software - Work across multiple estimating platforms, including custom-built systems - Assist in improving estimating workflows and systems - Maintain and update cost databases - Support integration with project management and workflow tools Collaboration - Work closely with onshore estimating and pre-construction teams - Communicate clearly with designers and project stakeholders - Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes

Job Requirements

  • Essential
  • Proven experience in residential construction estimating
  • Experience in both sales estimating and production estimating
  • Strong understanding of Australian residential construction methods
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience preparing BOQs and completing take-offs
  • Ability to work independently in a remote support role
  • Preferred
  • Experience working with Australian builders
  • Experience with DataBuild or similar estimating software
  • Strong Excel capability
  • Experience working across multiple software platforms
  • Exposure to custom or integrated estimating systems
  • Experience with both custom homes and volume housing
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
