Summary The Senior Technical Editor supports to lead the team in delivering high-quality technical documentation and artwork, ensuring compliance with client, legal and safety standards. This role combines leadership, project oversight and strategic contributions to improve workflows, mentor team members and drive innovation. As the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, the Senior Technical Editor ensures alignment with organizational goals and sets the standard for excellence. Key Responsibilities Leadership and Supervision: - Support leading and motivating the team, setting an example through proactive problem-solving and commitment to quality. - Oversee team workflows, ensuring compliance with policies and meeting deadlines. - Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Strategic and Project Management: - Responsible for completing writing projects including complex machinery while providing high-level oversight and ensuring quality deliverables. - Identify process improvement opportunities and implement innovative solutions to enhance team efficiency. - Monitor project profitability and resource utilization, aligning with organizational goals. Client and Stakeholder Communication: - Represent the team in client meetings, addressing concerns and driving collaborative solutions. - Act as a key liaison between departments, ensuring smooth communication and alignment. - Taking on the role as Domain Expert for selected client(s). Technical Oversight: - Provide final review on technical documentation and artwork, ensuring compliance with standards for other team members. - Responsible for creating high-quality technical documents, illustrations and drawings. - Stay updated on industry trends and client requirements, adapting practices accordingly. Team Duties and Responsibilities - Prioritization and Time Management: Prioritize tasks and managing time effectively, especially when handling multiple projects. - Collaboration and Teamwork: Promote collaborative work within the team and with other departments, including strategies for effective teamwork. - Promote Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Foster an environment where team members feel comfortable proposing new ideas and improvements. - Culture: Assist management in guiding the team to uphold the utmost standards of cultural excellence and integrity. Report any observations or findings regarding cultural practices or integrity issues. - Sharing knowledge and expertise: Share knowledge and expertise with other team members. Job Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Technical Writing, Technical Studies, Communication, Technical Journalism, or related fields.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a related industry with leadership experience preferred.
- Skills:
- English communication skills at native level; additional languages are a plus.
- Expert knowledge of technical documentation and tools (e.g., Adobe CC Suite, Content Management Solutions).
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and guide the team.
