With more than 5,000 donation bins and an active home pickup service in communities across Canada (excluding Quebec), we collect unwanted, gently used clothing and household items to raise much- needed funds for Diabetes Canada. Each year, the program diverts more than 100 million pounds of clothing and household items from landfill sites across Canada. As an employee on the National Diabetes Trust team, you are part of our national coverage in 2,500 communities, with 23 operations and 100 trucks. POSITION OVERVIEW Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial planning, analysis, and commentary support on a scheduled and ad-hoc basis for the National Diabetes Trust (NDT). This role supports and maintains the financial planning procedures and systems within Finance. RESPONSIBILITIES - Assist in the development of key financial metrics and in developing tracking systems - Participate in the development and maintain financial planning models - Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as needed or requested - Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst in month/quarter/year-end finance and accounting processes - Provide financial information for better decision-making and achievement of the organizational goals and objectives - Provide financial analysis and support in the planning process as directed by the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis - Additional duties as required, ensuring the effective operation of the NDT financial function.
