The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/products. Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product. Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications. Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts. May function as a niche technical SME. Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter. Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex implementations and systems. - Additional responsibilities include integrating payment processing, inventory management, and customer-facing tools within a unified cloud platform. - Support day-to-day implementation tasks for the cloud-hosted POS solution. - Assist with system configuration, environment setup, and integration testing. - Coordinate with the vendor on technical requirements, defects, and deliverables. - Validate data flows, payment processing, and sync processes during project phases. - Document project configurations, decisions, and technical updates. - Support field-office rollout activities, testing cycles, and issue resolution during deployment. This role requires 4+ years of professional cloud experience across providers such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) including secure data synchronization, performance optimization, and scalable architecture design. Skill - Required / Desired - Amount(Years) BS/BA or equivalent work background of IT related experience in a distributed web services and enterprise software environment Required 7 - Experience in EMV, P2PE and encryption technology with POS solutions Required 7 - Experience providing production support or similar role. Required 7 - Experience in card payment solutions and retail POS solutions Required 7 - Experience in working with Windows Server environment Required 7 - Experience in Systems Integration, SOA & Web Services Required 7 - Experience in integrating .NET application with mainframe applications Required 7 - Experience with XML and JSON Required 7 - Good understanding of capabilities of the .NET web apps and thick client applications Required 7 - Knowledge of Aurora Database, Reverse Proxy, Load balancing, URL rewrite etc. Required 7 - Work with other IT Teams: Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Integrations, Client Services, Database Required 7 - Strong working knowledge of office applications (i.e. MS Excel, MS Word, Visio, and PowerPoint) Required 7 - Written and verbal communications are clear, concise and achieve intended objectives Required 7 - Problem Diagnosis skills [i.e., discovery, replication, troubleshooting, resolution, verification, communication and/or escalation as required] Required 7 - Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects and tasks Required 7 - Able to problem solve independently as well as part of a team Required 7 - Strong working knowledge of professional cloud experience across providers such as Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Required 4 - Strong working knowledge of secure data synchronization, performance optimization, and scalable architecture design.
