• As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize large-scale, distributed solutions. • You'll work on new features from idea to production. • You build AI-driven capabilities, and solve complex engineering problems in a highly collaborative environment. • Taking ownership of AI-driven security initiatives, influencing solutions beyond individual tasks. • Initiating and develop POCs, many leveraging AI and data-driven approaches, and evolve them into production-ready features. • Designing and building core enterprise security infrastructure, from architecture through deployment, with real-world impact. • Developing, operating backend services in complex, distributed environments. Balance engineering with technical leadership through design & code reviews & monitoring. • Collaborating closely with engineers, product managers, QA, UX/UI designers, and security experts across the organization. • Identifying and implementing improvements to reliability, performance, observability, and test coverage.
Job Requirements
- Have bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent practical exp with exposure to developing, debugging BE using python & FE using JavaScript.
- Have experience building and operating distributed systems in production & experience applying AI assisted/data driven techniques to engineering problems
- Have experience in Big Data and Spark and understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Have good knowledge of Linux internals and system-level debugging and hands on experience with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
- Have experience working with databases, APIs, including SQL/PostgreSQL and REST services with good analytical thinking, problem-solving and ability to work independently.
- Have a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence within a team with fluency in English (written and spoken).

Role Description Vannevar is seeking an experienced full-stack engineer to advance the design and implementation of our Decision Advantage product. This critical platform enables defense and intelligence operators to gain comprehensive situational awareness of the information environment, helping them understand and counter adversary influence operations and information warfare tactics. You will build the applications our warfighters and intelligence analysts use daily for mission-critical work, developing advanced products and features for information distillation, analysis, and visualization that enable rapid assessment of the information environment. Working alongside designers, engineers, subject matter experts, and operational users, you will transform complex intelligence requirements into intuitive, mission-ready workflows that directly support national security objectives.
