LIMS Consultant
Semaphore Solutions
• Serve as the primary scientific and technical contact for customers during implementation projects • Utilize technical and domain expertise to understand client needs and translate them into solution designs, software requirements, and implementation plans • Create scope estimates and/or feature development requests for Implementation teams • Configure LIMS to meet user requirements • Create test plans and execute testing to ensure that the configured system meets client needs • Lead project coordination, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and expectations are clearly communicated and met • Develop customer-facing documentation and provide training to support the adoption • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing customer insights and informing product development.
Job Requirements
- Strong background in Life Sciences (e.g., Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics, or related field), with hands-on lab or LIMS experience.
- Familiarity with configuring scientific software or laboratory workflows, including scripting (e.g., Python), JSON, and SQL for data handling.
- Knowledge of analytical workflows, particularly in Quality testing.
- Proven ability to work directly with customers, translating technical and domain-specific needs into practical software solutions.
- Excellent organizational skills with experience coordinating tasks and timelines across teams.
- Clear, confident communicator who can educate, support, and build trust with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fast learner with a solutions-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Experience implementing LIMS, LES, ELNs, or related lab informatics platforms.
- Previous experience in a professional services, consulting, or project-based customer role.
- Familiarity with software development processes and Agile teams.

• Generate and update the monthly statistical baseline (initial forecast), ensuring consistency of historical data. • Consolidate inputs from Marketing, Trade, New Products, Commercial, Market Intelligence and Supply, maintaining version control and traceability. • Support the Demand Coordinator in preparing and leading Demand Review meetings. • Perform forecast accuracy analyses (Forecast Accuracy, BIAS, MAPE), identifying deviations and root causes. • Monitor product launches and discontinuations, ensuring data integration into the S&OP cycle. • Support the integration of demand forecasting into the Supply Planning and Finance cycles (S&OP team). • Extract, clean and process historical sales and production data from ERP and APS systems. • Run basic forecasting models (moving averages, exponential smoothing, seasonality). • Update demand dashboards in Power BI and other technologies. • Assist in preparing presentations and memos for S&OP forums. • Ensure traceability and documentation of all forecasting assumptions. • Support the weekly monitoring of demand KPIs together with the S&OE team. • Maintain regular alignment with internal teams, clarifying forecast numbers and assumptions.
