Sales Engineer
TRACTIAN
• Engage with enterprise prospects and customers to understand asset tracking, condition monitoring, and maintenance requirements, positioning Smart Trac as a high-value technical solution. • Lead technical discovery and deliver tailored product demonstrations that clearly articulate Smart Trac’s technical capabilities, business impact, and return on investment. • Partner closely with Account Executives to support new business and expansion opportunities throughout the pre-sales cycle. • Use HubSpot CRM to document technical requirements, support pipeline accuracy, and track pre-sales activities. • Collaborate with internal engineering, product, and implementation teams to design customer-specific solutions and ensure feasibility. • Prepare and deliver technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other enterprise procurement processes. • Monitor industry trends, customer use cases, and competitive solutions within asset tracking and maintenance technologies. • Capture customer feedback and technical insights to support continuous product improvement and enhance customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Solutions Engineer role, preferably within asset monitoring, industrial IoT, automation, or related technologies.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems and clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting enterprise B2B sales cycles, including technical discovery, solution design, and customer-facing presentations.
- Ability to articulate business value and return on investment when presenting technical solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills in a professional, enterprise environment.
- Willingness to travel as required within the region to support customer meetings, demonstrations, and pilots.

• The Senior System Engineer (senior SE) provides technical sales support to customers and partners on complex security solutions based on the Proofpoint portfolio. • This includes delivering technical presentations and demos, assisting with preparing proposals and RFPs, and leading proof of concepts. • The professional will cover the entire Proofpoint portfolio and may assist the customer in designing a complex architecture. • In-depth knowledge and field experience are required, as well as the ability to present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner. • As a senior SE, you'll play a crucial role in our sales cycles, working closely with sales executives to define and execute sales strategies. • You will provide technical leadership to team members, partners, and customers. • Your ability to cultivate relationships with customers and partners will be instrumental in contributing to their satisfaction and our overall company success.
• Serve as the technical authority and primary technical decision partner in enterprise sales cycles, from discovery through close, including full ownership of Proof of Value (POV) success criteria and outcomes • Lead architecture-level conversations with security, email, and identity teams • Run technical discovery that uncovers risk, not just requirements • Conduct technical and competitive landscape research to effectively address customer questions and objections • Confidently answer architecture-level and modern threat questions without deferring to Product or Engineering • Articulate why legacy secure email gateways fail against social engineering and identity-based attacks • Educate sales executives and partners on Abnormal AI’s products, platform, and security posture • Obsessively drive customer satisfaction and successful Enterprise outcomes
