Senior Technical SEO Specialist – Contract
Omniscient DigitalAn organic growth agency helping ambitious B2B software companies turn content and SEO into business growth channels.
• Execute technical SEO audits across multiple client accounts. You'll conduct comprehensive site health audits, identify crawl and indexation issues, diagnose rendering problems, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that engineering teams can implement. • Support migrations and technical implementations. You'll assist with CMS migrations, domain consolidations, and JavaScript framework launches. This includes building redirect maps, QA'ing changes pre- and post-launch, and ensuring nothing breaks in production. • Build automation and monitoring systems. You'll create monitoring systems using Google Sheets, Apps Script, Python, or other tools to surface issues automatically, reduce manual work, and alert teams to problems before they impact traffic. • Collaborate directly with client engineering teams. You'll write clear technical tickets, join implementation calls when needed, translate SEO requirements into technical specifications, and follow through until work is shipped and verified. • Troubleshoot technical issues with data. When problems arise - traffic drops, indexation issues, Core Web Vitals degradation - you'll investigate, pull relevant data, form hypotheses, test solutions, and communicate findings with clear before/after metrics. • Document processes and contribute to team efficiency. You'll help refine how we deliver technical SEO at scale by documenting workflows, suggesting improvements, and sharing learnings with the team. • Meet project deadlines consistently. You'll manage your own time effectively, prioritize high-impact work, and deliver quality results within agreed timelines (typically ranging from same-day turnarounds to week-long projects depending on scope). • Communicate proactively with the Director of Organic Growth Strategy. You'll keep communication clear and timely around project updates, blockers, and priorities.
• Build automated SEO monitoring and diagnostic systems using Python, BigQuery, and ML frameworks to analyze 500K+ pages at scale • Develop LLM-optimized content strategies targeting AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other generative search platforms • Design and implement ML-based internal linking recommendation engines (graph databases, semantic similarity models) to replace manual link building • Create automated content quality assessment systems using NLP/LLM APIs to identify thin content, duplicate issues, and optimization opportunities • Build custom SEO APIs and MCP servers integrating Google Search Console, Ahrefs, DataForSEO, and internal analytics for Claude/AI agent workflows • Develop Python scripts for log file analysis, crawl pattern optimization, and automated technical SEO audits • Engineer real-time performance dashboards combining organic traffic, conversion attribution, and competitive positioning metrics • Implement E-E-A-T signal optimization through automated authorship systems, schema markup generation, and structured data validation • Train and deploy ML models for keyword clustering, search intent classification, and cannibalization detection across multi-language content • Build automated QA frameworks for SEO validation in CI/CD pipelines (schema testing, hreflang validation, indexation checks)
