Job Description

Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Bitrise

• Maintain, improve, and scale our existing infrastructure (both data center and cloud services) to meet growing demands • Manage Mac-based and Linux-based build infrastructures alongside network infrastructure • Streamline workflows through automation, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual intervention • Proactively monitor infrastructure performance and identify potential issues to prevent customer impact • Handle incidents effectively and conduct thorough post-mortems to prevent recurrence • Develop systematic procedures for troubleshooting and maintenance • Refine deployment practices to enhance quality and velocity • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and take initiative • Thrive in leading projects and project teams to drive innovation and achieve our mission • Work closely with various teams within the company • Document tribal knowledge and promote knowledge sharing across the engineering department • Plan and execute work in an iterative, agile manner

Job Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar engineering role
  • In-depth knowledge of L2–L7 networking and protocols (TCP/IP, BGP)
  • Hands-on experience designing, configuring and operating data‑center grade leaf-and-spine fabrics
  • Comfortable with DNS, VPNs, firewalls, IPSec tunnels, routing, cloud networking, DHCP and operational best practices for troubleshooting and change management
  • Proficient in Linux administration, including scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Experienced in defining and deploying infrastructure with Terraform and Ansible
  • Proficient in setting up and leveraging Continuous Integration systems for process automation
  • Familiar with Google Cloud or other cloud service platforms
  • Competent in configuring and utilizing system monitoring tools
  • Proficient in managing source code with Git
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in an international, agile-focused team environment
  • Experienced in shaping and guiding technical practices within teams
