Job Description

National Response Systems Effectiveness Specialist

Chaos Ready

• Serve as a technical liaison supporting coordination with relevant stakeholders • Support the day-to-day implementation of technical projects in the NRSE Portfolio • Conduct and coordinate field-level technical assessments • Assist in the execution of Port Preparedness and Human Capital strategies • Support training workshops, simulation exercises, and "train-the-trainer" programs • Act as a technical point of contact for Stakeholders • Work with relevant GSD teams to assist in the deployment of specialized assets • Coordinate with consultants and contractors to monitor progress • Deploy on short notice to serve as a technical liaison as part of a GSD Disaster Response Team • Assist in the rapid integration of GSD surge assets during active emergencies • Support budgetary tracking and resource management

Job Requirements

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant management experience in humanitarian aid, disaster response, or development
  • Two (2) or more years experience operating in Telecoms, Energy, or WASH in low-resource or emergency settings
  • Experience supporting programs for government entities or regional bodies (CDEMA/CEPREDENAC) in the Caribbean or Central America
  • Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, International Development, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field; or Equivalent experience and training
  • ICS, 100, 200, 700, 800 is desired; and Certification in project management is desired
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to rapidly shift tasks
  • Working knowledge of Spanish and/or French desired
