Role Description Peraton is seeking a Maximo MAS Engineer to be part of a cutting edge, mission focused team supporting the Deep Space Network (DSN) in Monrovia, CA with NASA/JPL. The Deep Space Network is NASA’s international array of giant radio antennas that supports interplanetary spacecraft missions, plus a few that orbit Earth. The DSN also provides radar and radio astronomy observations that improve our understanding of the solar system and the larger universe. The antennas of the Deep Space Network are the indispensable link to explorers venturing beyond the moon. They provide the crucial connection for commanding our spacecraft and receiving their never-before-seen images and scientific information on Earth, propelling our understanding of the universe, our solar system and ultimately, our place within it. - Manage the IBM Maximo Application Suite environment, including installation, configuration, and upgrades on Red Hat OpenShift. - Monitor AppPoint usage to ensure compliance and cost-efficiency. - Administer user access, security groups, and data permissions. - Oversee system integrations via the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). - Manage functional improvements, troubleshooting, enhancements, and expansions of the Maximo system. - Define and manage scope of work, schedule, and budget to successfully execute the Maximo roadmap. - Instrumental in creation and execution of the Maximo roadmap, including envisioning and planning for future functionality. - Provide technical direction and recommendations for infrastructure hardware/software and related technologies. Qualifications - Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. - Experience with Docker/Kubernetes and Linux administration. - Proficiency in SQL (DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server) and Python/Java for automation scripting. - Experience with Maximo customizations, start centers, workflow and other aspects of Maximo EAM technology. - Well organized project management skills; ability to partner with customers and hardware/software partners. - Proficient with managing and prioritizing multiple projects. - Proven leadership ability to motivate and distribute tasks to co-workers in a team-oriented environment. - Knowledge of system development lifecycle process, documentation and requirements. Requirements - 7 years of hands-on experience with Maximo skills version 7.0, 7.5, 7.6. - Strong knowledge and experience in server, network and application performance monitoring, problem resolution, planning and execution. - Certification in IBM Maximo Manage v8.x Administration. - Experience with automation scripting. - Experience with JAVA, Oracle, and other DBMS systems. - Experience in data migration. - Experience authoring technical documents and manuals. Benefits - Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. - Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. - Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. • Plays the role of Team Lead of two of our ICyte application teams while working closely with the Product Managers & BAs to transform business requirements into efficient and scalable technical design. • Own & lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable enterprise-grade web apps for large transactional datasets. • Leverage various AI models through tools (such as Copilot) for code generation, test case generation, code analysis, and code optimization. And advocate the practice for significant efficiencies. • Optimize app performance and improve observability & monitoring for reliability and cost-efficiency. • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC2, etc.). • Support migration to modern cloud-native architectures (Snowflake, AWS Services). • Document processes, system context, and data flows for cross-team dependency & visibility. • Collaborate with the other Team Leads & Architects on architecture and system design efforts. • Own the data model design of application databases. Write efficient, well-structured database queries.

• Build the Platform: Design and implement the next generation of our Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, focusing on security, speed, and reliability. • Monorepo Management: maintain and optimize the health of our monorepo, ensuring scalable dependency management and fast incremental builds. • Cloud Architecture: Work with GCP to architect secure, scalable runtime environments. • Complexity and Impact of Work: • Developer Experience (DevEx): Measure and improve 'DORA metrics' (Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes). Identify friction points in the developer workflow and automate them away. • Test Infrastructure: Build robust local and remote test infrastructure (ephemeral environments) to boost developer confidence and productivity. • Cost & Efficiency: Monitor and optimize cloud and build fleet costs without sacrificing performance. • Communication and Influence

• Owns end-to-end recruiting for the most technically demanding engineering roles. Executes creative sourcing strategies for deeply technical, hard-to-find talent (distributed systems, blockchain, cryptography). • Constructs robust pipelines with measurable metrics. Reverse-engineers pipeline math independently (screens, loops, offers needed to hit hiring goals). Runs experiments to improve efficiency and scales what works. • Independently owns hiring outcomes for high-stakes roles without hand-holding. Executes full-cycle recruiting with strong conversion metrics. • Partners with engineering managers and technical leads to calibrate on bar, refine interview loops, and close competitive offers. Escalates appropriately on process changes, bar adjustments, and stakeholder commitments. • Works cross-functionally with engineers, EMs, and executives, flexing communication style based on audience. Builds credibility with skeptical hiring managers through technical calibration. • Maintains tight feedback loop with leadership on progress, blockers, and learnings. Balances velocity with judgment on things that ripple across teams. • Takes feedback cleanly, gives it constructively. Adapts approach based on stakeholder needs and hiring manager input. • Mentors junior recruiters on pipeline strategy, technical calibration, and closing under pressure. Extracts playbooks from successes and teaches others to replicate.
