Lead Designer LeftLane is looking for our 1st founding designer for our B2B vSaaS app in the used car space. It is LeftLane's mission to become the operating system for the 70k independent used car dealerships across the nation. LeftLane helps independent dealerships manage the lifecycle of their inventory, secure financing for their customers, keep accounting records, comply with regulations, and learn more about their business. This is an opportunity to get significant equity, significant responsibility, and ultimately, build a product that enables small businesses to serve ~40 million used car buyers every year. Responsibilities As our first designer, you'll be owning design end-to-end, working directly with the CEO & CTO to drive UX, and will interact directly with customers to gather feedback. You'll have a loud voice in driving early decisions. Given how early we are we believe it will let us move the fastest and collaborate the smoothest. • Developing mechanical drawings to construct HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. • Performing load calculations to determine system sizes. • Ensuring mechanical, plumbing, energy, and NFPA codes and specifications are implemented. • Ability to adhere to deadlines and work in a fast-paced consulting environment. • Performing field visits to document and verify existing equipment and systems. • Construction administration duties include answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving design/coordination issues with contractors. • Coordinating mechanical systems and utility design with Electrical, Architectural, Civil, and Structural disciplines.
