Job Description

Senior QC Engineer, Manual Testing

• Conduct various tests including smoke, regression, integration, performance, cross-browser, cross-platform, and responsive testing (PC, mobile, and tablet), as well as API testing, in accordance with the test plan to confirm the stability of software systems. • Log clear and concise bug reports and track them using tools like DevOps. • Work closely with QC, development, and business groups to carry out comprehensive testing. • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases, and review test cases created by junior or mid-level engineers. • Generate and send test results reports after verification with the QA lead. • Build project documentation such as user manuals and participate in the full lifecycle of development. • Review and verify business requirements and participate in static testing. • Engage in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to gather end-user feedback. • Mentor and train junior quality control engineers on company policies and procedures and create structured tasks for them. • Identify root causes of quality problems and coordinate necessary modifications or corrective actions. • Carry out additional duties as assigned, demonstrating innovation, leadership, and mentorship skills.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or information technology, or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Professional certification, such as ISTQB-CTFL or ISTQB-CTAL.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to test software, identify bugs, and resolve errors.
  • Knowledge of testing phases and approaches, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Familiarity with writing tests may involve experience in programming or coding.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential for collaboration with QC, development, and business teams.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively triage issues, adapt to changes, and work independently or in teams within a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL commands.
