Systems Engineer – District Channel

• Work closely with account management team and partner/reseller ecosystem • Support the pre-sales organization in all technical matters regarding pre-sales, sales activities, channel enablement and selected post-sales activities. • Understanding of the Fortinet portfolio and ability to demonstrate technical and business value. • Be the lead technical contact for the regional partner ecosystem, distribution pre-sales and engineering. • Manage all aspects of the technical sales enablement including architecture and implementation design consultation and best practice guidance.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in channel and/or pre-sales support with proven success.
- Expert level knowledge in networking (wired- and wireless, SD-WAN, WAN), and network security (Hybrid-Mesh Firewall, SASE, ZTNA).
- Strong Channel and strategic focus to address complex technical and business requirements with a self-motivated, positive attitude.
- Knowledge of the following domains is a plus:
- Datacenter architectures (e.g. ACI, NSX-T)
- Security Architectures (e.g. Hybrid-architecture, Net-Ops)
- Modern Software Architectures (e.g. DevOps, IaC)
- Cloud Architectures with at least one public cloud specialization
- Security Operations (e.g. Orchestration, Automation, SIEM Tools)
- IT Security standards (e.g. BSI 200-x, ISO2700x, COBIT, NIST) and/or relevant regulations (EU-DSGVO, BDSG, NIS-2/KRITIS).
- Excellent German and English language skills.
- Ability to interface with senior levels of internal / external organizations is required.
- Expert level verbal & written communication and seasoned prioritization skills.
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills with proven experience.
- Deep level experience in installation and configuration of network devices, systems (UNIX/Linux, Windows-based, virtualized and containers), public-clouds, and scripting (ideally Ansible, Terraform, Python with good knowledge of APIs).
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of time.

• Keeping Workday running smoothly: Configure and maintain Workday business processes, condition rules, security groups, time off rules, and org structure, and module-specific features within Core HCM, Advanced Compensation, Employee Voice (Engagement), and Performance. • Own user role assignments and audit access controls in partnership with IT. • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end testing cycles for Workday changes, including unit testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). • Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and scenarios to ensure consistency across releases. • Partner with People Ops and IT to coordinate integration testing, UAT, gather feedback, and resolve defects before deployment. • Automate and elevate processes: Identify manual or repetitive HR workflows and build automations using low-code tools like Workato to redesign core business processes (e.g., onboarding, job changes, offboarding, approvals) to be more user-friendly, compliant, and efficient. • Be the first responder: Act as the Tier 2 contact for Workday-related issues raised by People Ops or escalated from Tier 1.
