Strategic Account Executive
Upbound
• Carry a sales quota that aligns with Upbound’s revenue goals. • Function as the primary point of contact and the face of Upbound for new prospects and customers. • Conduct sales activities including prospecting and developing opportunities within existing customer accounts. • Manage complex mid enterprise sales campaigns with multiple prospect engagement points. • Ensure the successful rollout and adoption of Upbound products and services in partnership with pre-and-post sales engineering and support. • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers in partnership with strategic channel and alliance partners. • Take ownership of your business by documenting the buying criteria, process, and owners to ensure pipeline accuracy. • Look for and implement improvements to sales processes, tools, and materials. • Travel to customer sites and industry conferences and events as needed.
Job Requirements
- Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding assigned annual/quarterly goals and targets and consistently ranked top 1-2 on your team.
- Experience in solution and value selling in the enterprise cloud or cloud-native product spaces, especially if you've contained a meaningful open source component.
- Correctly estimate qualifying opportunities based on BANT.
- A genuine passion and enjoyment in bringing new products to market.
- Drive to build a business, hunger to find and close deals, and pride in the growth of the business.
- Relentless focus on customer success and meeting the needs of present and future customers.
- Experience building positive professional relationships with developers and executives.
- Clear and articulate written, verbal, online, and in-person communication skills.
- Professionalism, attention to detail, and strong follow-up.
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to help solve problems outside of your immediate lane.
- Fun in your job and enjoy what you do.
- Strong understanding of legacy Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Significant experience selling disruptive technology into focused markets.

• Manage account and partner responsibilities for selected accounts in assigned territory. • Provide the optimum combination of hardware, software, and services to meet complex customer needs. • Play a role in the development of the bid, proposal, and presentation of the solution to the prospect. • Provide specific solutions/technology/product/technical and sales support for accounts in assigned territory. • Perform a career level of technical presentations for customers, partners, and potential prospects. • Manage vendor partners to help drive business and deliver demand generation events. • Drive account relationships over time to continue to deliver advice to the customer and identify additional opportunities; maintain and manage a sales pipeline and forecasts against regional goals. • Possess career competitive knowledge including solution, technology, and product offerings. • Provide consultative support to key internal/external stakeholders in assigned territory. • Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. • Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs. • May prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. • May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. • May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. • May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.
• Connect via phone with 200 - 300 cold prospects on a daily basis (autodialer) • Receive inbound calls through an automated dialer system • Conduct outbound follow-up calls to warm prospective clients • Generate interest in business owners and qualify their businesses • Gather information to help determine right-sized solutions for clients
