• Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules to reliably provision and configure customer environments. • Support deploying and managing UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-prem for government-backed commercial vendors. • Build and maintain custom UDS packages and application-specific modules, enabling streamlined deployment of customer environments. • Adhere to SLA commitments, including on-call support for critical UDS issues in customer environments. • Serve as the primary technical interface for System Integrators and mission heroes, providing guidance, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex UDS issues. • Develop and deliver technical training content tailored to mission hero needs, including remote and on-site sessions demonstrating platform features and best practices. • Coordinate customer onboarding and ensure smooth adoption of UDS deployments. • Gather feedback from mission heroes and the community to provide actionable insights to internal teams, improving products, services, and deployment processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for improvements to capabilities and strategies for improving deployment efficiency and customer outcomes. • Analyze operational and usage data to identify trends, optimize delivery strategies, and drive process improvement. • Experiment with new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve mission outcomes. • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

This role writes production-quality software, builds, operates, and monitors the systems that run it, and improves them over time. In this role, the ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain caching, rendering, delivery and other infrastructure. They will leverage tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines, and operate services in Google Cloud Platform. The candidate will design in consideration of failure modes, and bring a pragmatic, security aware mindset to everything they build and participate in a rotating on-call schedule. This role is ideal for someone who thinks like a software engineer but is comfortable owning production systems end-to-end. The candidate should be equally at home writing maintainable code, reviewing code written by others, debugging production incidents, and improving systems that cause them. This candidate does not simply keep things running, they improve them and mitigate failures before they occur. What you’ll be doing: Design, develop, and maintain high-uptime cloud-native services including our core visual media rendering service. What we’re looking for: 5+ years of experience creating and maintaining highly available cloud services with a public cloud provider including multi-region experience with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) but also open to experience with AWS and/or Azure. Proven experience writing maintainable code in Python. Experience with Rust and/or Javascript are a bonus. Experience in using scripting, automation, and orchestration tools including infrastructure as code tooling via Terraform or OpenTofu. Experience implementing and using continuous integration and continuous delivery workflows. Comfortable using AI to assist with writing code. Experience with Linux based operating systems and their components. Understanding of containerized applications. Performed/monitored code deployments. Experience in cost optimization and efficiency.
