Job Description

Payroll Assistant

Syntax

• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll on a regular basis (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly) • Collect, validate, and enter payroll data including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and benefits • Support payroll reconciliations and ensure accuracy of payroll records • Maintain and update employee payroll information in HRIS/payroll systems • Assist with statutory deductions, taxes, social security, and other mandatory contributions in compliance with local labor laws • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and pay discrepancies in a timely and professional manner • Support audits by preparing payroll documentation and reports as required • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data consistency and process improvements • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–3 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or HR administration (junior profiles welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of payroll processes, labor regulations, and statutory deductions
  • Experience using payroll systems and HRIS tools (e.g., SAP, ADP, Workday, SuccessFactors, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level)
