The Vice President (VP) of Business Development plays a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the strategic direction of the organization’s growth initiatives. This position involves developing and implementing business development strategies that align with the company’s overall vision, mission, and objectives. The VP will focus on driving the expansion of programs and services in both new and existing markets. This role will be responsible for researching and analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities and referral sources, and leading business development efforts to expand the organization’s footprint. In this position, you will work closely with the Executive Team, Operations Leaders, and other department leaders to create and refine short- and long-term business plans to achieve measurable and sustainable growth and enhance the company’s competitive edge. Essential Responsibilities of this role are: - Drive the execution of strategies to expand the company’s footprint in both new and existing markets. - Introduce and promote the concept of onsite outpatient therapy (Physical, Occupational, and Speech) to senior living clients, emphasizing its value proposition for residents and its role in enhancing census retention. Cultivate long-term relationships with senior living clients to drive contract retention and identify new opportunities for business growth and market expansion. - Establish and refine repeatable, scalable business development processes that enable efficient and effective business development operations. Develop and manage dashboards and key performance metrics to track progress, assess performance, and continuously improve business development outcomes. - Develop promotional material and cost justification tools (presentations, cash flow analysis, etc) - Partner with business development and operations teams to create targeted strategies and messaging that drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and long-term client relationships. Represent company at industry trade shows and conferences to expand market visibility. - Oversee and optimize the Salesforce CRM system to ensure effective pipeline management, business development cycle efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Ensure the CRM is leveraged effectively for managing client relationships and tracking business development analytics. Position requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred. Candidates with a clinical educational background who have successfully transitioned into a business development role are also sought after. Experience: A minimum of 5 years of B2B sales and business development experience, managing revenue generation of at least $10M annually, preferably at a rapidly growing company. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding business development goals and quotas. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the healthcare industry is a plus, especially in relation to senior care communities (AL, IL, MC and CCRC/s). Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions, track key metrics, and translate insights into actionable business strategies. Sales and CRM Expertise: Extensive experience with Salesforce or other CRM platform, sales pipeline management, and sales performance analysis. A strong understanding of sales processes and the ability to drive continuous improvement in sales strategies and execution.
