Project Estimator

Role Description As a Project Estimator, you’ll play a key role in transforming build plan designs into accurate, fully costed material, plant and labour estimates using our internal system. Working closely with both clients and our internal support teams, you’ll ensure every proposal is precise, commercially sound and aligned with client expectations enabling us to deliver profitable, high‑quality solutions every time. This is a home-based role with occasional travel. - Confidently manage estimating across a diverse range of projects, including extensions, renovations, loft conversions, standard new builds and barn conversions. - Build strong relationships by working closely with customers, the service team, sales teams and local branches, demonstrating excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Liaise with external suppliers to obtain technical support and ensure accuracy in all estimates. - Provide timely, effective responses to technical on‑site queries, supporting issue resolution and updating estimates, build reports and processes as required. - Handle administrative tasks and queries related to estimating, amendments and material scheduling with efficiency and attention to detail. - Create estimates and pricing proposals using internal Core pricing programmes Raptor & Planswift (and where necessary revise as required). Qualifications - Previous knowledge in estimating for; Extension, Renovation, Loft Conversion, New Build (Standard) Barn Conversion. - Basic Knowledge of Build Regulations. - Experience of reading / understanding architectural drawing / structural specifications. - Experience of Microsoft Office package (Outlook / Access / Word / Excel predominantly). - Excellent communicator both internally and externally, written and verbal. - Able to work under own initiative. - Organised and able to manage own workload.
