Job Description

Legal Operations Specialist

MariaDB

• Manage the daily flow of legal requests and contracts, ensure contracts are routed correctly for internal review, signing, and archiving. • Perform initial operational review of NDAs, procurement contracts, and standard sales agreements for basic accuracy (names, dates) and identification of terms requiring review and approvals. • Assist in streamlining the contract review process and contribute to legal processes, templates, policies, reports, and KPIs. • Provide operational support to Sales and other global teams, helping them understand how to request legal support and check the status of their requests. • Stay current on Legal Tech including AI for lawyers and legal operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in legal operations or legal project management, or in a contract manager, contract administrator, legal secretary or paralegal role, ideally within a software or technology environment.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, or Law. A law degree or partial legal education is a plus, but active bar admission is not required. This role focuses on operational excellence rather than legal practice.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word) and Google Workspace.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and DocuSign (CLM & eSignature).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume workflows without losing track of individual requests.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse, global, distributed teams and external legal vendors.
