• Own the successful execution and deployment of the device backend, acting as the primary driver of code quality. • Optimize and scale core processing algorithms and denoising software on-device and in the cloud. • Design, build out and scale our AWS-hosted, HIPAA-compliant data platform using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform. • Maintain and enhance robust backend services that facilitate seamless communication and data transfer between field devices, the cloud, clinicians, and hospital systems. • Help establish and build the mechanisms to enforce best practices for handling sensitive patient data to maintain security and HIPAA compliance across the entire stack. • Develop clearly-written, tested, and documented software solutions compliant with standards for the medical device software lifecycle (e.g., IEC 62304) • Partner with regulatory, product, hardware, and data science stakeholders to translate complex device and signal-processing models into production-ready backend services. • Actively support documentation efforts and internal knowledge transfer to ensure the long-term health of our software ecosystem.

• Design and implement critical features and platform components – this is an active coding role. • Own technical architecture decisions: system design, service boundaries, data modelling, and API contracts. • Lead code and design reviews, setting the technical bar and coaching engineers through them. • Resolve complex engineering challenges, performance bottlenecks, and cross-cutting concerns. • Drive adoption of engineering best practices: TDD, CI/CD, observability, and security-by-design. • Lead a small agile team – run sprints, set goals, unblock engineers, and manage delivery commitments. • Mentor and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, feedback, and pair programming. • Collaborate with Product and Operations to refine roadmaps and translate requirements into technical plans. • Hire and onboard engineering talent in partnership with leadership. • Lead the team’s adoption of AI development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted testing) and build internal best practices. • Identify opportunities to embed AI/ML capabilities into the Radiant platform to enhance customer value. • Evaluate emerging AI tools and partner with leadership to define an AI strategy roadmap for engineering.

• Contribute to technical architecture and design decisions for our IoT-enabled asset tracking platform. • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and system designs. • Mentor and support engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance. • Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features that directly impact customer success. • Lead complex feature development with a strong focus on quality and scalability. • Participate heavily in hands-on development while ensuring high technical standards. • Contribute to solving technical challenges and evaluating architectural trade-offs.
