• Partner with Sales to support technical discovery calls and evaluations • Lead demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs), designing technical walkthroughs and lightweight prototypes • Understand customer workflows and demonstrate how Firecrawl transforms messy web data into structured, LLM-ready outputs • Debug integrations and answer complex API questions in real time • Collect and synthesize field insights to inform product roadmap prioritization • Improve API documentation and build sample projects to accelerate adoption • Contribute to technical enablement resources (demos, blog posts, internal materials) • Act as the technical voice of the customer across Sales, Product, and Engineering • Support onboarding and technical training initiatives
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a technical pre-sales, solutions engineering, or engineering role
- Strong coding proficiency (Python, JavaScript, or similar) and comfort working directly with APIs
- Ability to debug integrations and build prototypes independently
- Experience supporting developer-focused or API-based products
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex architectures clearly
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, startup environments
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering
- Self-starter mindset with high ownership and urgency

Qualifications - Experience working within the municipal water and wastewater market. - Experience in pump selection, pump pricing, or industrial equipment sales. - High level organizational skills and a natural drive to succeed. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - A two-year Mechanical or Civil engineering degree is a plus! Requirements - 25%-50% travel mostly in the state of Wisconsin, generally home every night. • Provide pre-sales technical support to the Sales team, including solution design, technical documentation, and customer-facing materials. • Lead technical discovery with prospects to understand requirements, constraints, and success criteria (public sector and commercial). • Deliver product demos and technical presentations, clearly explaining Derq’s value and differentiators to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Own technical parts of proposals, including RFP/RFI responses, compliance questions, and clarifications. • Gather and document technical requirements, system interfaces, integration approach, and deployment assumptions for handover to Projects and Engineering. • Support pre-award planning by drafting initial scopes, timelines, and high-level budgets with the Project team, then ensure a clean transition post-award. • Act as the technical point of contact for consultants, infrastructure partners, and technology partners during the sales cycle to drive adoption and integration opportunities. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date notes, opportunities, and technical details in the CRM to keep pipeline execution clean. • Stay current on ITS and smart mobility trends (traffic management, road safety, AI analytics, funding programs) to inform solution positioning and proposals.
