Job Requirements
- Highly creative, with a proven ability to build performance-driven campaigns that engage target audiences and hit KPIs
- Deep platform expertise across Meta, Google Ads, and at least one DSP or other programmatic/managed service vendor
- Strong comfort with marketing research and statistical analysis to inform strategy and optimize performance
- Experience building, managing, and optimizing media budgets across channels
- Demonstrated people-management experience, balancing hands-on execution with strategic leadership
- Self-motivated, client-focused, and solution-oriented, with a bias toward action and ownership
- Proactive problem solver who identifies issues early and pursues opportunities aggressively
- Expert in persuasion advertising, performance advertising, or ideally both
- Deep understanding of what drives campaign success and the ability to teach and mentor others to run effective campaigns

Role Description The Director of Scientific Marketing, Melanoma is a member of Iovance’s US Marketing Cell Therapy team, with accountability for developing the strategic direction for scientific strategy and medical education activities supporting AMTAGVI, the only FDA approved T Cell Therapy for Metastatic Melanoma. Primary focus will be on the Advanced Melanoma market but will evolve over time to support additional indications as pipeline programs mature. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in metastatic melanoma or with prior Cell Therapy Scientific Marketing experience. The candidate needs to have an entrepreneurial spirit looking for an opportunity to be part of the first-in-class launch of an innovative cell therapy for metastatic melanoma. The Director of Scientific Marketing will report to the Head of Marketing. Essential Functions and Responsibilities - The Scientific P2P & MedEd Marketing Lead will be responsible for the success of an expansive P2P education and promotion platform, encompassing speaker programs, clinical experience roundtables, advisory boards, and other activities. - This role requires senior level marketing expertise and strong strategic and analytical thinking as well as creativity and decision-making skills. - P2P (Peer-to-Peer) strategy, planning, and execution. - Develop educational content consistent with overall brand strategy to drive impactful peer to peer engagements. - Lead national and regional peer to peer programming and execution, including development of speaker program materials and coordination with sales leads. - Partner with Medical Affairs to provide commercial perspective on publications, scientific communications, and real-world evidence/ HEOR data generation. - Ensure that all marketing activities are in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements. - Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics. - Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. - Travel – 30% Qualifications - 12+ years of relevant marketing or related healthcare experience required. - A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields is required. - Knowledge of oncology drug development and understanding of melanoma disease. - Demonstrated ability to own and execute commercial facing scientific marketing strategy in a resource-lean fast moving biotech environment. - Awareness of competitive dynamics, emerging science and trends within melanoma and immuno-oncology. - Practical experience in biotech or pharmaceutical commercial functions, preferably within small or mid-size organizations. - Hands on ability developing scientific marketing strategies aligned with brand objectives. - Comfort operating with limited infrastructure, taking initiative, and driving workstreams independently while collaborating cross-functionally. - Strategic thinking. - Strong prioritization and execution skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing data, timelines, and business needs. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills across cross-functional commercial teams. - High level of judgement and integrity.
