• Design and build core backend systems (Python preferred) • Build APIs, services and infrastructure that handle real-time, business-critical and complex accounting logic • Launch production-ready features from scratch, including CI/CD pipelines and deployment • Work with product to turn complex finance workflows into performant, secure systems • Manage complexity in a business-logic-heavy product, including data migrations and scale challenges • Integrate third-party tools and external systems - proactively managing edge cases and risk • Own your work from architecture to testing, monitoring, and post-release care

• Design and implement software solutions using .NET following industry best practices • Develop and maintain APIs, ensuring they meet high performance, reliability, and security standards for internal and external system integrations • Design database schemas, manage database operations and SQL queries • Write unit and integration tests • Follow the company’s code and development standards • Refactor existing software components to eliminate technical debt • Estimate software development work in conjunction with the product team • Deploy software releases to production and other environments • Use and maintain CI/CD pipelines in coordination with the DevOps team • Work closely with the security team to maintain compliance with company’s security standards • Conduct code reviews • Collaborate with the management team on setting project goals and their execution.

• You will help extract data from legacy POS systems, serving as the bridge between old technology and our modern platform. • You will build tools to transform and validate data to ensure all fields meet requirements and accuracy standards before importing into Scotch • You will find ways through automation, AI, and other tools to streamline and optimize the onboarding process • You will use your strong communication skills to work with our onboarding team to most efficiently bring on new customers

• Develop and maintain end-to-end web applications using Java for the backend and modern frameworks such as React for the frontend. • Build highly responsive user interfaces that integrate seamlessly with backend systems. • Implement and maintain Kafka for building scalable and decoupled event-driven systems. • Design and manage RESTful APIs, ensuring smooth interaction between frontend applications and third-party services. • Collaborate with Product Managers, QA engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance. • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. • Ensure code quality and application performance through effective unit testing and performance optimization.
