Blip
• Develop features and improvements for the Blip product in a secure, well-tested, and high-performance manner • Drive technical vision and strategy across multiple departments • Lead architectural decisions that impact multiple teams • Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements at an organizational level • Resolve high-scope, complex technical problems across departments • Promote innovation and technical excellence across the organization • Define and establish technical standards and best practices company-wide • Identify and address systemic technical debt affecting multiple departments • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate strategic technologies • Represent Blip and its values in public communications and technical forums • Provide technical mentorship to more junior engineers • Lead large-scale technical initiatives involving multiple departments • Guide alignment of technical strategy with business objectives • Drive adoption of emerging technologies and best practices • Guide hiring strategies and technical evaluation standards • Participate in on-call rotation for critical production issues • When needed, act as tech lead for the squad or other strategic projects, fostering technical excellence and ensuring high delivery quality standards.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack software development
- Significant professional experience with C# (.NET)
- Solid experience with automated testing tools (e.g., MSTest, NUnit, xUnit, SpecFlow, etc.)
- Strong understanding of web concepts (e.g., how the browser makes requests to the backend)
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and APM solutions
- Strong experience using CI/CD tools to manage the development lifecycle
- Proven success across multiple teams in tackling complex technical challenges
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems architecture
- Expertise in performance optimization and scalability
- Experience defining technical strategy aligned with business objectives
- Deep knowledge of system design and architecture
- Experience working with stakeholders across different departments
- Share our values and work in accordance with them
- Knowledge of software design principles (SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, Twelve-Factor methodology, etc.)
- Experience with development methodologies (Pair Programming, TDD, Code Review practices, etc.)
