Job Description
Entry-Level Bookkeeper
OpsArmy
• Review and categorize transactions • Reconcile monthly books for assigned client portfolio • Identify and flag unusual or questionable transactions • Ensure accurate coding according to standard accounting practices • Manage 5–6 clients on average per month in a team of ~30 • Respond to client questions via email or support platform • Conduct brief consultations to clarify transaction details • Handle complex cases requiring back-and-forth communication • Review work for accuracy before monthly close • Ensure compliance with bookkeeping standards • Document all client interactions • Follow internal bookkeeping procedures and workflows
Job Requirements
- Prior bookkeeping experience (any level)
- High English fluency, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with general accounting principles
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities for manual transaction review
- Empathetic and people-oriented approach
- Comfortable with asynchronous communication and US time zones
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms (KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC) is a plus
