Job Description
Manager, Convention Sales – Contracting
Seminaris Hotels
• For your key accounts you design a coherent customer journey and develop proposals with commercial foresight. • Client management: You look after corporate clients, understand their needs and skilfully match them with our room concepts, catering options and technical capabilities. • Proposal & contract management: With an eye on profitability, the specific features of your hotels and the yield strategy, you prepare event proposals, negotiate terms and bring contract negotiations to a successful close. • Pitch & closing: Through structured follow-up, persistent engagement and persuasive argumentation you sustainably increase conversion rates and not only meet your individual targets but also contribute to the team’s overall success. • Cross-functional collaboration: In close coordination with Revenue Management and the hotels you work on optimal utilization of event spaces and rooms to fully exploit revenue potential. • Connected/remote working: You operate independently from your home office while remaining closely connected to your team. Visits to our properties and meetings with the Conventions Sales team twice a year ensure you experience the Seminaris spirit on site.
Job Requirements
- You have several years of experience in hospitality, convention sales, event management or project management, ideally with solid knowledge in catering, corporate events as well as yield and revenue management.
- Negotiation skills are your superpower. You handle objections professionally and know how to lead conversations to a solution-oriented, confident “closing”.
- You enjoy working in a results-oriented way, take pleasure in identifying potential and remain consistently persistent, even when faced with headwinds.
- A keen eye for detail and a clear focus on deadlines form the reliable foundation of your work. In the home office you organise yourself independently and are a key pillar in our decentralized team.
- You communicate with empathy, reliability and clarity, whether with clients, suppliers or internal teams. You have a strong command of German and English.
- You are proficient with MS Office as well as hotel software (ideally SIHOT) and use digital tools routinely to map your processes efficiently for decentralized work.
Benefits
- Flexible & hybrid work models: Your contract will be tailored individually and based on needs for your area of work so it fits your life.
- Participation & influence: Your ideas are welcome! Together we shape your workplace and the future of Seminaris.
- Modern corporate culture: We value communication, autonomy, appreciation and team spirit – in a collaborative environment with flat hierarchies.
- Responsibility & sustainability: Your values find a home with us: we operate socially and ecologically sustainably and treat people and nature with respect.
- Individual learning journey: In addition to professional development, we offer numerous opportunities to discover your potential and develop personally.
- Well-being: Of course you can enjoy any of our properties privately at excellent rates and benefit from discounted overnight stays at many partner hotels.
