• Work within established data models to understand data structures and entity relationships • Contribute to the maintenance and documentation of existing data models • Perform descriptive data analysis under the guidance of senior analysts to identify trends and patterns • Prepare basic reports and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders • Work closely with data engineers, project managers, and senior analysts to deliver high-quality data solutions • Provide timely updates on assigned tasks and proactively communicate any roadblocks • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment • Ensure data accuracy by cross-checking data for assigned tasks • Adhere to data security and compliance regulations and standards • Participate in code reviews to learn from senior analysts and ensure adherence to best practices

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Public Health)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in SQL (ability to write basic queries)
  • Experience with dbt (or similar data transformation tools) is a plus
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Looker, Looker Studio, or equivalent BI tools is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Understanding the 'Why': Eager to ask clarifying questions about data requests to ensure accurate and relevant results
  • Coachability & Active Listening: Open to receiving and acting on feedback from senior analysts and team members
  • Accountability for Tasks: Demonstrated ability to deliver assigned tasks on time and to the required quality standards
  • Comfortable with multi-tasking and strong attention to detail
  • Quick learner and proven ability to adapt to situations quickly
  • Familiar with data warehousing fundamental concepts and ETL processes; Understanding basic database normalization concepts and entity relationships, and follows established data models.
