DevOps Automation Engineer, IaC

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation and Packer. • Manage configuration and provisioning using Chef (bonus: Terraform, Ansible). • Build automation scripts—preferably in Python—to streamline operational workflows. • Implement and follow DevSecOps standards (SOC2, PCI, etc.) within deployment pipelines. • Manage and integrate tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, AWS. • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support software delivery and database schema changes. • Support AWS database services (Aurora/RDS/MySQL) as a plus. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations. • Document processes, standards, and playbooks for internal knowledge sharing.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps / SRE / Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation **(mandatory)**.
- Scripting proficiency (preferably Python).
- Experience with Chef or similar configuration management tools.
- Experience building and operating Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with security/compliance practices (SOC2, PCI, etc.).
- Experience with Git-based SCM tools (Bitbucket/Git), Jira, Confluence.
- Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) **B2+ / C1 MANDATORY**.
- Previous experience working remotely with US-based teams.

This position will be located in Alexandria Virginia and will be a remote position. Responsibilities Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment to ensure that the product will perform to specifications. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating the product. Designs test cases (both automated and manual) for software solutions.
